Junior High School & Middle School (JAM)

LEVEL 1: LEARN

During the Level 1 experience, students will participate in fun activities focused on skills essential for the middle level including: building self-esteem and self- advocacy skills, learning what it means to be a leader, and ways to create exciting and interesting student activities. Students will leave with better networking skills and connections to leaders across the state.

Level 1 is appropriate for students who have completed 6th grade, i.e., entering 7th grade in fall of 2026 OR entering 8th grade in the fall of 2026 and have not attended camp previously.

LEVEL 2: ENGAGE

Team building, goal setting, communication, and organization are key components to being an engaged leader. Participants at this level will have the opportunity to explore concepts of leadership, improve their leadership skills in an engaged way, learn tools to promote positive mental health, and gain an understanding of self and others.

Level 2 is appropriate for students who have attended Level 1 OR students who will have completed 8th grade and not attended camp previously.

LEVEL 3: ADVOCATE

Entering high school confident and ready is essential to student success. The Level 3 curriculum combine experiential learning with essential skill development to ensure this success. Students will learn valuable skills like self- advocacy, communication, and goal setting - in a creative and engaging way.

Level 3 is appropriate for students who have attended Level 2 OR students who will have completed 8th grade or 9th grade and have attended camp previously.

Senior High School (SHS)

LEVEL 4: DEVELOP

A positive high school experience hinges on developing essential leadership skills. This high school program is designed for students who want to learn the necessary skills to become a leader in their school or increase their effectiveness as a leader. Level 4 curriculum is high-energy and focused on developing interpersonal skills, group processes, communication skills, problem solving techniques and planning/evaluation procedures.

Level 4 is appropriate for high school students who have attended Level 2 or Level 3 OR are rising sophomores or above and have not attended camp previously.

LEVEL 5: EMPOWER

Responsibilities continue to increase for high school students: at school, at a job, in the sports arena, or at home. Student leaders need the ability to adapt to a variety of circumstances depending on the demands of the group or task. The Level 5 curriculum examines what causes this range of needs and gives participants the skills to adapt and react to each. The result will empower delegates to recognize which style of leadership is most appropriate in any given circumstance, leading them to success.

Level 5 is appropriate for students who have completed Level 4 OR are entering 12th grade in the fall of 2026 and have not attended camp previously.

LEVEL 6: REACH

This culminating program provides opportunities to revisit all ten of our leadership standards. With a special emphasis on character and ethical decision-making, delegates will utilize a self-directed approach to practicing essential skills needed for life in high school and beyond. Through numerous activities, they will expand their reach to include not only their school organizations, but also their communities, and perhaps even, the world.

Level 6 is appropriate for students who have attended Level 5.

At Every Level of Camp

For our camps, students will be led by camp staff in activities dedicated to understanding what it means to be a leader. With proven curriculum as the foundation, and unparalleled talent leading each camp, delegates agree that this program is “the most significant learning experience in my life to-date!”

  • Banquet: The delegates get dressed up for this special affair, where they dine in their finery while listening to inspiring speeches by their fellow delegates.
  • Speaking Opportunities: There are numerous opportunities for students to work on their presentation skills — and one evening where individuals from each group are asked to address the entire delegation.
  • Recreation: Recreation opportunities vary by camp, but include swimming, volleyball, tennis, running clubs, socializing and more!
  • Opening Sessions: Each day starts with a fun opening session to ensure each delegate is energized and ready to seize the day!
  • Evening Closings: Each day ends with inspiring stories and songs — lead by adult and junior counselors. The perfect way to end a day.
